2001 Penguin Odyssey Tour….Full Speed Ahead!
John’s been half way across the country and back since his tour started in June!  It makes for interesting reading and viewing.  A highlight was working at Jeff Galloway’s running camp and fitness vacation in Squaw Valley, CA.--running, biking, hiking, and learning from the health and fitness experts there. Fourth Annual Penguin World Conference Plans Announced
Toronto 2002:  A great city. A great value. A great encounter. Mark your calendar and make your travel plans now!  The location and dates for the Fourth Annual Penguin World Conference have been announced. 

The Toronto Penguins will host the Fourth Annual Penguin World Conference, in Toronto, Canada Friday, May 24 to Monday, May 27, 2002.  The conference will be held to coincide with a Toronto-area marathon, half marathon, 5K and marathon relay distance race.

Glenn Gabriel, penguin extraordinaire of Toronto, will be the lead organizer, part of a team that includes the entire Toronto Penguins Running Club. They are working on a conference Web site. In the next few weeks, they also plan to send weekly updates through the existing "PenguinWC" Yahoo email group! Stay tuned for more details! We invite all Penguins to gather in Toronto next May for our  fourth annual….and first international…world conference!

Where’s the Penguin?
John’s touring cross country (this time by car, not motorcycle) for the third year—stopping to meet, talk, run, and race with lone runners, in clubs and training programs, and at running stores and races.  It started with driving cross country for the Rock N Roll Marathon in San Diego on June 1.  It’ll wind up on the opposite coast in Virginia Beach for the Rock N Roll Half Marathon on September 2.   The July-August schedule:
